Going to document my hybrid FvS build, just here for you lovely Spellswords people.

As a proper Hybrid, I built this character with the following in mind:
    1. Soloing LE Content
    2. Enough Melee-DPS to solo Red-Nameds – Longswords, High Crit Power, Solid Base Damage
    3. AoE Spell DPS for Crowds through Fire Spells – FlameStrike, FireStorm, Cometfall & Celestial Bombardment
    4. DC Crowd Control through targeted save exploitation – Soundburt, Cometfall & Greater Command
    5. Solid AoE Healing – All Mass Cures, Sacred Ground, Ameliorating strike, No Remorse
    6. MP/SP Lantern Archon tricks + Arcane Warrior, Empyrean Magic, Celestial Champion & Prowess

I never built the character for instant kills, as I was duoing with Kirsty and theirs nothing more irritating than playing with someone just instant killing everything when your partner is built for Melee DPS as a Eldritch Knight. Since I had an eye on Evocation DC for Soundbursts though and my gear setup was based around Spell Focus Mastery items, I ended up taking Implosion and Mass Frog anyway, and using them when soloing or things get really troublesome.

    Wisdom Gear Setup
The wisdom Gear setup is a compromise between Melee DPS/Spell DPS and having more Spell DC, so some swap gear is necessary unfortunately. This is a work in progress, but is the closest I can get atm with a Wisdom build that wants everything.

Weapon 1 – The Fellblade – Ruby of the Meteor, Meridian Fragment
Weapon 2 – The Fellblade – Ruby of the Meteor, Ruby of the Inferno
Filigree – Prowess 5 peice set (MP, Attack/Dam, Crit, PRR, MRR), Ottos 4peice (Con, SP, Will, Cha), 1x +5 MP

Armour – Legendary Blessed Vestments (Flamecleansed Fury set)
Bracers – Legendary Hallowed Castigators (Flamecleansed Fury set)
Cloak – Legendary Hallowed Trail (Flamecleansed Fury set)
    Helmet – Legendary Arcsteel Brim
    Goggles – Legendary Dusk Lenses
Boots – Boots of Blessed Travels
Belt – Legendary Black Satin Waist with +5 Qua Wisdom
Ring 1 – MA: Radiant Ring of Taer Valaestas
Ring 2 – Legendary Ring of Prowess
    Necklace – Slavelords – Con +17, Resistance +14, Spellcraft +22, Qua Con +4
    Trinket – Cannith – Seeker +15, Parrying +7, Ins Wis +7
    Gloves – Molten Silver Gauntlets

    Swap Items:
Ring 2: Clouded Dreams – Ins Spell Focus Mastery +4, +20 Exc SpellP, +10% Exc Spell Crit
Trinket: Trinket of Freewill – Ins Wis +9
    – These two items represent an extra +5 DC on my spells over my current gear setup, at the sacrifice of Melee Power, Accuracy, Crit Damage and Saves.

Belt: Burnscar Sash / Silverthread Belt
    – Smashes another 202 Fire/Devotion Spell power onto my build, at the loss of 4.5 DC and Spell Pen.

Missing Items: Both Swap items for extra DC/Wisdom, and need to craft Qua Con on my Slavers Item.

    Current Breakdowns
    Wis: 85
    Con: 44

    Melee P: 87 (+101 w/Additions)
    Base Acc / Damage: +145 / +101 MHand / +82 OHand
    Crit Range: 13-20 / x4
    Dstrike: 52% MHand / 10% OHand (+21% MHand w/Additions)
    Speed: 15% Haste +30% Haste Boost (11)

    Typical Additions:
    – Arcane Warrior – +20 MP / +20 USP
    – Celestial Champion – +10 MP
    – Zeal of the Righteous – +21 Avg MP / USP / Dstrike over time.
    – Empyrean Magic – +20 USP / +10% Crit Chance
    – Prowess +50 MP (11 Haste Boosts per rest)

    HP: 1326
    Fort: 229%
    Dodge: 12%
    PRR: 168 / 188 w/Sanctuary Boost
    MRR: 103
    Heal Amp: 155

    SP: 4295
Evo DC: 86 (+4DCs in Reaper)
Con DC: 85 (+4DCs in Reaper)
Enc DC: 78 (+4DCs in Reaper)
Frog DC: ?? I suspect around 75 currently (+4DCs in Reaper)

    Fire SP: 627 / 18% Crit Chance / +25% Dam
    Force SP: 577 / 18% Crit Chance / +25% Dam
    Devo SP: 676 / 48% Crit Chance / +25% Dam
    Light SP: 697 / 51% Crit Chance / +25% Dam
    – Then add +150 for Maximise on all spells that can be.
    – Then add +61 USP and +10% Crit Chance w/Additions.
    – Then add +202 Fire Spell power when swapped to Burnscar Sash

There is also a Charisma version of this build I’m working on, which despite the loss of Mass Frog the Gear setup means I gain better Main Stat and Spell DCs without needing swap items at the cost of a little bit of overall Spellpower, but would also allow to permanently wear the Burnscar Sash and consider a swap to Scion of Earth for Acid damage on attacks. This is a WIP.

Happy to hear suggestions on improvements I can make to the current build, or add any more requested details. A spell list will likely be added at some point.

    Hi
I see the attraction of these builds, just hard to get everything to a useful raid/mid end game level.

The few changes I would personally go for are:

Would go for SWF over TWF, end game SWF line is strongest at mo damage wise if not got enhancement backup for style, you can then aim for a Blackrazor eventually and orb in off hand, perhaps a Leg Resplendant Fury with +10 Wis slotted in or Leg Flame Sphere, another option for weapon is Untold from THTH, these weapons will greatly increase your dps.

Feats missing that would go for if possible are: Imp Crit, Overwhelming Crit and with your Wis a stun item and Divine Will Dire Charge would be viable.

I would also look at gear set-up, aim for +21 Con, +10 Ins Con, +22 wis (from ring), +10 Ins Wis.
Staggershockers from PN would be a good fit for u, Lesser Displace v useful.
Would also try and get more Sheltering.

For me the capstone 5 from Warpriest is better than Shine Bright for this build.

An issue with these builds is you try and maximise dc’s at the cost of dps but the actual difference in dc makes no difference in quests, you will never reach what you need for mid/high reapers, ee and low reapers u will be ok so there will be a sweet spot of prob around 80-90, then in the higher reapers u rely on dps or heal spec for the quest to compliment group, it’s the same with spell pen.

    Good morning and happy Friday.

Taking 10 min while waiting some results:

I think that your build is good for your goal: Being able to solo LE content.

If you want to go to play at higher dif you may have trouble after R3 -> R5 in function of the quest.
You need a bit more HP in order to be able to handle 2 hits (this is really important).
You need to have a specialization: Caster CC / heal, CC insta, DPS, … to be efficient, doesn’t mean if you are DPS spec never throwinga heal ofc.
Yes a little heal can make an huge dif at high reaper, like a trip or any that help to succeed.

Here is an example: Even with 1000 + in devotion and a crit on healing it is pretty impossible to heal oneself after R8, then a cocoon a scroll or any little heals is more appreciated and helpful that most people think.

    Sébastien.
