    Hi swords,

I want to experiment a new build with InsertCoin: Sorcerer16/Arti4 Draconic Incarnation.
Sorcs have obvious synergies with fvs, but I think also the artificer can be useful, or at least fun to play.
My goal is to maximize electric SLA (lightning bolt, blast rod, lightning sphere, electric loop, shocking grasp, static shock), electric spellpower (~450 before metamagic) and spell critical chance (39%).

    Race: Bladeforged

Starting stats: CHA 18, CON 18, INT 16

Feats: Insightful reflexes, Empower, Maximize, Heigthen, Quicken, SF evo, Mental Toughness, Improved mental Toughness, Past Life Wizard, Epic Mental Toughness, Epic Spellpower Electricity, Ruin, (Hellball?)

    Enhancements:
BF 12 (Improved fortification 1, Constitution 2, Inscribed armor 1, Toughness 2, Communion of scribing 6)
Air Savant 38 (Air Savant 1, Air Affinity 1, Greater Air Affinity 1, Conduction 1, Shocking Grasp 3, Spell Critical Electric 2, Electrocution 3, Spell Critical Electric 2, Alternating current 3, Spell Critical Electric 2, Charisma 2, Spell Critical Electric 2, Charisma 2, Electric loop 3, Feather fall 1, Lightning bolt 3, Wind dance 2, Evocation focus 2, Awaken elemental weakness electric 2)
Arcanotechnician 30 (Arcanothecnician 1, Static shock 3, Spell critical 2, Spell Critical 2, Shocking vulnerability 6, Lightning sphere 3, Spell critical 2, Intelligence 2, Spell Critical 2, Blast rod 3, Intelligence 2)

    Other spells:
Web, Solid Fog, Icestorm, Otto sphere.
Scorching ray and DBF for some fire dmg.
Disintegrate and Ruin for force dmg.
I’m undecided between Otto irresistible and Sunburst…

    Equipment (at the moment):
OFFHAND Libram of silver magic (+11, Insightful potency +10, insightful spell lore II, Intelligence +11, Charisma +11, Spellcraft+20, +138 Impulse)
MAINHAND Thunder forged alloy morning star (+11, +150 magnetism, +6 evo, +138 Reconstruct)
DOCENT Shadowscale docent (+11, Shadow phase, From the shadows, Deathblock, Ghostly, 130% Fortification, Good Luck +2, Green slot (TBD), +3 Profane Concentration, +1 Profane Spell DC)
    HELM Wisdom +9 Resistance +10
GOGGLES Sage’s Spectacles (Fire Lore VIII, Combustion 132, Intelligence 9, +2 Insight Int)
NECKLACE Iron Beads EH (Magnetism 114, Lightning Lore VI, Topaz of Greater Evocation) – till I get tier 3 on implement 😉
TRINKET Planar focus of Erudition (+3 insight charisma)
CLOAK Sage’s Mantle (Enchantment focus V, Illusion focus IV)
BELT Sage’s Sash (+250 sp, +35 hit points)
BRACERS Sage’s Cuffs (Kinetic lore X – Spell Penetration IV)
    GLOVES Health +10 Dodge +10%
RING Guardian’s Ring (+24 PRR, Topaz of Greater Conjuration)
RING Lantern Ring (Radiance 144, Insightful Wisdom +2, Radiance lore VIII, Radiant Glory, Exc. Charisma +1, Topaz of Greater Enchantment)
BOOTS Sage’s Shoes (Conjuration focus V, Vitality +40)

    Suggestions? 🙂

Why the 4 lvls of Atri? I find that pure sorc are more effective.

Also not sure if u can craft that Morningstar on a 1 hander.

I think arti provides some interesting synergies with air savant.

    Pros:
    – 3 SLA (max caster level +5). Blast rod cause a lot of damage for 6sp.
    – +4% crit chance
    – one more feat
    – can do traps
    – (shocking vulnerability – not so useful)

    Cons:
    – no 9 lvl slot
    – -1 DC
    – no knockdown immunity
    – -2 max caster level

Elemental form imho is self-defeating for Bladeforged.
For a pure sorcerer I think it is much better to go human or drow…

I’ve already crafted the morningstar: 1H simple weapon. Don’t like scepter 🙂

Its been a while since Ive ran a Sorc so forgive any inaccuracies.

Thinking from an Epic Elite perspective…..

IIRC a lot of the Air Savant spells and SLAs are heavily DC dependent and save for half or save for no damage – if you have the DCs then you’ll crank out some nice damage.

However, if you do land these spells you will also be a major aggro magnet and will need to keep those Reconstructs ready along with any other damage mitigation you can throw in to ensure youre not squishy.

Self suff is the key – with all the destiny healing that is available these days people are usually happy to throw out cocoons and renews to help, but when someone constantly grabs more aggro than they can handle it tends to become tiresome for those trying to help.

If youre only planning EH then looks like a fun build.

For survival I’ve quickened reconstruct & quickened reconstuct SLA, 10% inc, some dodge & PRR. And double wings (air sorc & draconic).

    I worry more about DC – i’m only 54.
