Sharn raid spoiler

The new raid in Sharn is named Too hot to handle. And from reading the forums it is very hot, players take fire damage from the environment there, much like chaos damage in Killing Time and electric damage in Riding the storm out.

Get high fire resistance and absorption will be very important. I imagine the best / easiest option is to get the Orcish Privateer boots from the epic Three Barrel Cove explore area.

So people may want to farm for those boots if they dont have any yet.

Maybe twisting Energy Sheath (fire) at least for caster will be usefull.
I have to remind this.

Yeah, that sucks, I wish they’d come up with a better mechanic. At least we can use fire shield this time.

If you don”t have the boots you also can craft an item, here is un exemple of a ML24 shard (30 % fire absorb + fire resist = 42):

Bound Shards: ML24, Fire Absorption, Fire Resistance
Highest Crafting Level: 240
300 Essences
15 Blades of the Dark Six
15 Strings of Prayer Beads
5 Powdered Blood
5 Small Wooden Idols

Something that I didn’t knew (I maybe alone but if not better to write it):
Energy Sheath stacks with absobtion items (at least it seems).

Loking on epic destiny, in shiradi champ there is somthing that can help us: Elemental Absorption.
The definition is: Active Ability: (Cooldown: 2 seconds) Target ally receives a primal shield that reduces [5%/10%/15%] damage from fire, cold, electric, acid, and sonic. Two uses per rest. Lasts until rest.

Divine Energy Resistance from Unyielding Sentinel may also help us.

I think that energy sheath fire from draconic incarnation is probably the best though.

A T1 ability that gives 50% absorption stacking with items, that you can recast yourself, that has a very noticeable aura so you see when you need to recast.
