    Looking for input on my gear for the ranger version of Palna. Initially I was just going to get a Scourge PL and go back to 14 paladin – 6 ranger, but with Epic Defensive Fighting and Aasimar LOH making up most of the pros of Paladin that would just be a weaker version of Tempest so I’m staying with ranger for a while I think. At least until I see what plans they have for KotC.

    Current setup is Str. Artifact + Part of the Family + Adherent of Mist + filler. Ends up 84 str, 2k HP, 250 PRR, 95 MRR, Dire Charge DC 110. Biggest problem atm is missing Ghostly, and hope to get Ruby Ring to add that. If I can then get a Collective Sight “crafted” it would get the ball rolling and I would probably ditch AoM.

    Also got a str based ranger that uses know the angles, have planned gear set as per below:

    I used the Leg Mantle of Fury on my Dex ranger as is nice viable fit and the raid cloak had duplicate abils, for this one I preferred the raid cloak, Ins Sheltering is v nice to have.

    This has 2 new raid items so might take a while but am in no rush, I like the LGS items for the +18% hp (a lot more if calculate true hp from PRR), norm go for unc. range/regen with Immortals Heart), then the Negative route for Immunities and have 105 resist items as swap ins for specific quests/raids)

    atm have around 105 stun dc which rarely lands in sharn, I think you need to aim for 125+ in the mid/high reapers there as monk has over 130 and hits fairly solid stuns.

    Thx Leg, that’s seems a good way of doing it. Hadn’t really considered LGS, will have to refactor my initial plan. I guess I could/should think about raid items in the long run as well, as I hadn’t really thought of those as options at all… 🙂

    On Dire Charge it seems with 110 DC I can get a decent amount of mobs stunned, in particular humans and gnolls but definitely would need higher DC to get to no fail numbers. Atm I don’t have quality bonus to stun, that is potentially 5-7 and obviously there’s more strength bonuses to add as I’m on 88 now with selfbuffed with CCI running…

    Sharn brought alot of items, which is fun but also frustrating to plan and acquire… 🙂

    No need to rush new set, a Ravenloft geared toon is still very much end game.

    This is a very useful post to help me gear up my Tempest because as per the norm every melee toon I make ends up being sub standard in every possible way.
