    Hi folks,

Been thinking how to get more out of Inquisitive and think I’m gonna try this build in a few weeks time when I’ve finished the TR train. Comments and discussions on improvements are welcome. I’m having an internal debate on whether to stick with Shiradi or go Fury, comments on this also welcome.

Basically it’s an Inquisitive CHA build with hit/dmg coming from FvS feat. Enough FvS levels to get Quickened Heals, Fighter for feats and Kensei tree, Rogue for Evasion and Assassinate tree, and a few points in War Soul for a bit more +to hit/dmg.

Tell me what you think or how you think you would improve it.

    Here goes:

Sorry about the formatting, CharacterBuilder doesn’t support Inquisitive yet so had to do this the old fashioned way. I’m clearly out of practice.

I don’t think Critical Mastery stacks with each other. The norm is if named the same, it wont stack (when from same source, enhancements in this case). I think you get more from the mechanic tree. For 7 points spent, you get:

    * (Core) Your ranged sneak attack and Point Blank Shot range increases by 5 meters per trained Mechanic Core enhancement.
    * (Tier1) Sharpshooter: +1 to hit and damage with all bows, crossbows, and thrown weapons. +1 additional damage and one Sneak Attack die with all non-repeating crossbows.
    * (Tier1) Awareness: +1/+2/+3 Listen, Search, and Spot (2 ranks, to unlock tier2)
    * (Tier2): Sharpshooter: +1 to hit and damage with all bows, crossbows, and thrown weapons. Non-repeating crossbows increase the damage to +2 and +1 SA dice.

Then spend 7 in assassin and just get

    Assassin (7 AP)
    • Knife in the Darkness
    1. Toxin Affinity II, Sneak Attack Training
    2. Sneak Attack Training

    Good morning.

I have a few comments as I’m not an expert.

    1. 18 : Diehard: Not sure it is really usefull since you have lot of past lives.

    2. Spell DW: considere Panacea: This spell is really powerfull and you have DW clic.

    3. Spell Stalwart Pact: Not really good in my point of view, maybe Break Enchantment can be a bit better in some situations.

    4. For Twists of Fate:
=> Cocoon is can plus even for you due to the shield.
=> Legendary Tactics can be nice too.

    Sébastien.

I’d advice to check out Legendary dreadnaught to run in. It will lower your boost CD to 20 sec, this means you only get 2 sec downtime on No Holds Barred = DPSSSS, easy to get max Blits = DPSSSSS and max out advacning blows = MOAR DPSSS!!! and a bit of PRR
Also get the quiver from RL that makes your bolts Blud dmg, this will work with pulverizor for an extra crit range.

On the build i’m imagin your gonna use some spells to buff, but are you also wanting to use offensive spells?
Die hard is pretty useless, not sure what to take though. thougness??

Also what Jan said, Mech might be better over Assissin.

Last but not least, as you have loads of racial points, would gnome not be a better fit?

The Inquisitive tree is such a versatile tree that it would be hard to go wrong. However, as others have said, I think you’re better off in the mechanic tree than assassin. Also, I second the idea of Gnome as the race. Every point of int will count.

    One side note…

If you are looking to get the most ranged power, then don’t forget that tier 3 of fletching in mechanic gives you an extra 10rp. It seems expensive but when you look at that tree, there will be *no* wasted points getting there. It’s a solid tree for an Inquisitor build. But it will require sacrifices in other trees to get there.

I’m running a 18/2 rogue Arti split and it’s a blast to run. The 2 Arti gives you a runearm for a modicum of damage but also gives you DR breaking and an extra slot for the Adherent set. I’m running the Wallwatcher set and Adherent together, it wasn’t hard at all to fit in. Especially since the goggles with Linguistics in that set will allow you get stacks of Observant more quickly due to the 10% cooldown reduction on Diplo. I’m almost always running with an extra 10prr and mrr.
