    Hello Swords

Nannabot reached L24 last night (who wouldve believed this could happen as Ive always been bocal in my dislike of healing. However, I love being a Cleric now andif you ever need a Divine along then feel free to give me a shout (not raids……….yet)) and Im stuck on feat choice.

    Some background……

Nannabot is a standard RS Cleric caster build – Max Wisdom and full Heroic and Epic Spell Pen

Those that run with me will know I like to stand in the front line and use Greater Command to CC the mobs and then help out with DPS whilst keeping my Aura up.

I do use Destruction, butI have to Energy Drain first to get them to land so I only use it on Casters. If it fails I follow it up with a Command and start swinging my mace

With L24 stat increase I can even out my Wis at 44, however if I take the Greater Wis feat I can easily achieve 50 Wisdom in my Exalted Destiny and maintain great healing boosts

I havent taken any Spell focuses as Im sure one DC isnt going to make or break my build at this point.

Tower shield proficiency is an option but I lose out on +2 dcswhen I equip a shield as I use a Wizards ward

Mental Toughness? Doesnt offer a great deal imo – Nanna has 2600 SP when in Exalted Angel, coupled with my Turns and Rennewals I find it more than plenty

So Im stuck really – any advice would be appreciated

It would have helped if you would have listed your already taken feats.

For a Human/Cleric caster focused on instant kills (Necromancy domain) I would say something like this (not necessarily the best order, just so you get the idea):

    1. Empower Healing

    1. (human) Toughness

    3. Heighten

    6. Quicken

    9. Necromancy Focus

    12. Greater Necromancy Focus

    15. Spell Penetration

    18. Greater Spell Penetration

    21. Epic Spell Penetration

    24. Epic Necromancy Focus

You do miss strong BB/DP because of lack of Maximize/Empower but you gain awesome CC/instant kill instead. This way your BB/DP is decent and you have other nice things, while if you choose Maximize+Empower instead of 2 Spell Focuses your DC will drop by 5 which for a divine is huge. Alternatively you could farm EDs, but feats are still important imo.

Well it depends what u wanna do with ur cleric Ryan. Personally i rly hate healing clerics that try to dps and people in tha party struggle to stay up. Also since Wisdom and Cleric spell dc are rly hard to reach high numbers without many TR’s i keep my cleric for Healing purposes only and do some dps in some cases if its needed it. BB and DP are quite nice for a healer to go for his dps . Also now with exalted angel while u  heal u get stucks that increase ur Light spell power so u can spam heals and renew a DP on bosses that deals +18% dmg which is nice. Ofc as i said at start everyone has a different style to play. But since a cleric is the best healing class on the game i like having one that lives to a full potential to that and can join every healing challenging grp / raid / quest / boss etc etc. It’s rly fullfilling knowing that u soloed heal a raid that most cant or that u healed an epic elite quest without more than 5 deaths and no pots or that u can handle all the content in the game without problems in healing.

Having said that my feat build will be displayed above. I also have max wis / max positive spell power / impulse and light spell power lower / enhancements are full healing .

    Feats : 1) Empower Healing 3) Toughness
    6) Extend 9) Mental Toughness 12) Imp Mental Toughness 15) Quicken 18) Extra Turning  21) Epic Mental Toughness  24) Maximize ( Only using it on Offensive spells healing spells dont need it its just sp burner )

Since u are human Extra Feat prolly be Heighten. Around 3300 sp if i recall and enough turns. Never out of sp never out of turns everyone happy 🙂

Thats just a scetch of how u could play if u wanna go more healing so that u are confident to join raids that currently u are not ( though still should be fine ) . For lvl 24 with ur current build since u like playing with Greater Command go for Spell Focus Ench and aim for the Caught in the Web stuff that has epic Spell Focus Ench that way u got +2 extra from ur spell mastery item. Then u could try lvl 2 Hold Person with all that drows in new quests would work very nicely.

Thank you both for your replies – two totally different builds (shows how versatile a Cleric is)

So far Im confident in my Clerics ability to heal and effectively CC/ Insta in most EH quests, although those in Guild that have been on the receiving end of my healing are better paced to say if this is true or not.

I suppose in the end it depends on what I like to do most and currently that is CC and Healing (theres nothing more satisfying than dropping a group of mobs that are swamping the melees..

The question is which is better 49 Wisdom with a GC dc of 42 (this includes SF Ench)or 50 Wisdom giving me a GC dc of ? plus a bit of extra SP

Or, is that exyra bit of dc not worth it and should I take MT for the extra SP to make up for the spells that the mobs save against?

    Hi Ryan

Both those other builds are fine but you need to take some other points into consideration, don’t have cleric but can easily compare to a fvs.

Greater Wis – All this will really do is provide you with more dc anyway and tiny amount of spell points, imo, just use the destiny line to get wis to 50, remember you can get to 49 with main line and twist in a +1 wis from another, therefore waste of a feat.

The Greater Command is  a nice tactic and you have a respectable dc of 42, you have also maxxed your spell pen abils by sounds of it, all a good move.

So from looking at what you have said you also like killing with ed and destruction, so why not play on the strengths of your build with a decent wisdom and increase the dc of bb (excellent spell) and Implosion (your area effect destruction) and go for spell focus: Evocation, an extra +1 but looks like you got all other feats covered if you have the important meta ones and spell pen, you can also get another +2 in this dc from the lvl 2 precise casting draconic line twisted in and the Magister spell school specialist is +3 i believe but would need to check, therefore an ok Evoker without the past lives, but only if you enjoy casting bb and want to use Implosion more on top of Destruction, items can then obviously add another +2/+3.

Only other consideration would be  spell focus Enchantment as you have already gone down this route and playstyle.

    Hello Leg

    thank you for the reply.

I hardly use BB much as kiting tends to annoy the hitters :-).

I do use implosion when the group is mobbed – I tend to GC then Imposion as its a great way to manage the aggro and thin out the mobs.

After a chat in Guild chat (whilst you were writing this) I decided to go with SF Enchant and use the exalted line +6 Wis) to get my Wis to 50.

With my Wiz Ward equipped this gives me a DC of 41 Necro and 43 Ench

If I use the Necro Staff you gave me then its 42 Necro and 41 Ench

In Unyeilding Sentinal (which I have only just started) my DCs are weaker with the loss of 6 Wis but the trade off is Im pushing 700 HP – Ill have to research the US line to see which way to go to play to its strengths

Thank you all again for your input – its much appreciated
