OK I was asked for Curmo’s build so here goes

    Bladeforged wizard

    10 str
6 dex (using insightful reflexes for reflex save)
    18 con
18 int with all level ups
    8 wisdom
14 charisma (think I chose this for umd to heal and rez party members)

Used +1 lesser heart to remove paladin level to be pure wizard

Epic destiny feats: Hellball, force spell power (was magic missile spec’d at one point)

Epic feats: Epic necro, epic spell pen, ruin

Heroic feats: Insightful reflexes (no more worrying about reflex saves), heighten, maximise, spell pen, greater spell pen, mithral body (was adamantine but when I changed build I didn’t have enough action points for 100% spell casting). spell focus necro, greater spell focus necro, spell focus enchant, past life wizard.

    enhancements:

11 points in bladeforge tree for cheap recon casting (I like my chars to be survivable) though this can be quelled, I also have repair and recon spells to heal myself.

44 in archmage, primarily transmute focus, necro secondary and points into int and cheaper heighten, empower, maximise etc.
Rest in harper tree for 4 more int.

epic destiny: magister, 6 lots of int, necro focus, and have 3 int twisted in.
pretty much everything built for dc atm.

Tomes: 6 in int, think 3 or 4 in rest.

    Past lives:

    1 cleric, 1 favoured soul, 3 wizard.

    Items:

Use three thunderforged sticks choice of +6 necro, +6 transmute and spell pen one.

Wear dc items, +5 enchant cloak, +5 conjure boots (swappable with orc pirate boots for fire absorb and fom), and +5 evoc. +11 int item, +3 insightful int and +1 exceptional int.

+1 profane dc from shadow dragon armour.

This char is a bit of a mess, as I designed him wearing heavy armour, evocation spec’d for shiradi missiles etc, with some relatively high dcs and a few points in harper tree for some meleeing. However at the time we needed dc casters for MOD so I refitted him with as high dc as I could get as quickly as possible. He does have 65 necro and 60 transmute which is more than enough for EH MOD and pretty decent dcs for most content.

However, if you plan to go dc casting you really should go all out, and that probably means sun elf, and pale master, healing yourself with pale master aura. Jan and a few other people have dc casters so might be able to give some tips. However if you want an easier time then barbs and paladins have excellent dps and survivability and warlocks have most of the benefits of a wizard with the bonus of SLAs and more dps without being so reliant on spell points.

The good news is Curmo does have survivability from light armour, self healing and decent saves, as well as generally enough dcs, but personally I would look at other options.

My wizard is a sun elf archmage specialized in Necromancy and Transmutation schools at the moment.

    My starting stats are:

    Str: 08
    Dex: 08
    Con: 16
    Int: 20
    Wis: 08
    Cha: 12

I used a +1 lesser heart of wood to remove the 1 cleric level.

1: Feat (Insightful Reflexes) & WB (Mental Toughness)
    3: Feat (Arcane Initiate)
5: WB Feat (Spell Focus: Enchantment)
    6: Feat (Toughness)
    9: Feat (Maximize Spell)
10: WB Feat (Spell Focus Necromancy)
12: Feat (Greater Spell Focus: Necromancy)
15: Feat (Spell Penetration) & WB Feat (Heighten Spell)
    18: Feat (Greater Spell Penetration)
    20: WB Feat (Quicken Spell)

21: Feat (Epic Spell Focus: Necromancy)
    24: Feat (Epic Spell Penetration)
26: Feat (Epic spell power positive)
    27: Feat (Ruin)
28: Feat (Epic Spell Power force)

Im using Draconic Incarnation as my main destiny. Twists are Necromancy Specialist (+3 necro dc from Magister), Rejuvenating Cocoo (Primal Avatar), Endless Faith (Exalted Angel), and Echoes of the Ancestors: Arcane (Fatesinger) (not 100 sure on the twists).

Im using a robe and that makes me having to rely more in twitch skills and avoidance to stay alive.

Corazon was a Sun Elf PM for a while. He was Necro / Enchant specced

Whilst I dont remember the specifics the feat list was mostly the same as Jans except I didnt take IR, MT or Toughness – I probably took Completionist, Bard PL and GSF Enchant instead.

Destiny was either Magister or Draconic and Twists to support either generalist or full blown DCs depending on the content being run.

First of thank you very much for posting your builds, both.
We all can learn for each other and avoid mistakes which someone done in the past.
I want to point out that in my opinion Curmo is doing a very good job (Jan don’t need to be mentioned as Spellswords wouldn’t existing without him)

After reading and informing I have decided not to go the dc based wizard as to many past lifes are necessary to guarantee success on EE. Aaaaaaand I hate reincarnating. Some of maybe reincarnate from 1-20 in 2 days. For me it takes 1 month.
